What's included in the weekly rental?

Are there any hidden fees?

No. Your weekly rental is the only recurring charge. A refundable security deposit is taken on collection and returned in full at the end of your rental.

Yes — a refundable security deposit is required on cab collection. The amount depends on the cab and is returned subject to condition at handback.

Are the cabs fully TfL licensed?

Yes. Every cab is fully TfL-licensed as a London Hackney Carriage, plated and inspected. You can drive it straight onto the rank.

Is maintenance included?

Yes — routine servicing, MOT, plating, tyres and breakdown cover are all included. You don't pay separately for any of these.

Which black cabs do you rent?

Our fleet includes the LEVC TX electric, the classic LTI TX4 and the Mercedes-Benz Vito London Taxi — all fully TfL-licensed Hackney Carriages.

Can I take the cab out of London?

Yes — long-distance jobs from the rank are fine. Just let us know if you're planning to leave the country.

Can I work street hails, ranks and pre-booked jobs?

Yes. As a TfL-licensed Hackney Carriage you can pick up street hails, work the ranks (including Heathrow) and accept pre-bookings via any taxi app you choose to register with.

Is the LEVC TX cheaper to run than a diesel cab?

Significantly. The TX runs on electric power in town and uses a small petrol range extender for longer trips — fuel costs are typically a third of a diesel TX4.

Can I use the cab for personal use?

Yes, within reason. The cab is yours for the duration of the rental — just look after it.

How quickly can I get a cab?

Most cabbies are approved and on the road within 48 hours of completing their application and document upload.

What documents do I need?

UK driving licence, TfL taxi driver licence (green badge), Bill, right-to-work (passport or share code), proof of address and a DVLA check code.
